Ron Paul Takes Donation From White Supremacist and Former K.K.K. Member

Posted by chip91 on October 26, 2007

I wonder if Ron Paul’s people will defend this one?

via the Lone Star Times

A LoneStarTimes.com investigation has conclusively established that a leading figure in the American neo-Nazi / White-Supremacist movement has provided financial support to Ron Paul’s 2008 Presidential campaign.

The individual in question is Don Black, the founder, owner and operator of Stormfront, a “white power” website that both professional journalists and watch-dog groups have identified as the premier English-language racist/hate-site on the Internet.

Republican For A Reason

Posted by chip91 on October 24, 2007

I know that this does not have to do with Ron Paul. But I wanted to post it anyway. Republicans have won five out of the last seven presidential elections by running on a strong national defense. Ron Paul should be running for President as a Libertarian, since he’s not a real Republican. It’s a good thing that Ron Paul wont be following these three men.

Ron Paul’s lack of attendance

Posted by chip91 on October 21, 2007

Arizona Senator John McCain has been heavily criticized for his lack of attendance in the 110th Congress. However, in the current congress Ron Paul has missed 20% of congressional votes. Overall, missing 193 votes. While the average congressman has only missed 4% of votes. I understand that Ron Paul has to spend time campaigning. But isn’t it more important that the people of Texas’s 14th congressional district are represented by a person who does not miss almost 1 in 4 votes then Paul’s long-shot presidential campaign?

The following are the votes Ron Paul missed just over the last four month’s.

The Occupations Of Ron Paul Donors

Ron Paul Says We Just Need A Few Submarines to Defend America

Posted by chip91 on October 14, 2007

During a recent Washington Post interview, Rep. Ron Paul said that “There’s nobody in this world that could possibly attack us today. I mean, we could defend this country with a few good submarines.” You can watch the video here. What world is this guy living in? “There’s nobody in this world that could possibly attack us today.” Does he mean attacks like 9-11? Khobar towers? The USS Cole? Tanzanian Embassies? Marine Barracks in Lebanon? The attack on the Penatgon or the first World Trade Center Bombing? I always thought that Ron Paul said things like this because he was nutty – sorry to be so blunt – but it might be because he’s just stupid.

An Open Letter to the Ron Paul Faithful

Posted by chip91 on October 12, 2007

Allen Wastler, the managing editor of CNBC.com, is a bit frustrated with them.

Dear folks,

You guys are good. Real good. You are truly a force on World Wide Web and I tip my hat to you.

That’s based on my first hand experience of your work regarding our CNBC Republican candidate debate. After the debate, we put up a poll on our Web site asking who readers thought won the debate. You guys flooded it.

Now these Internet polls are admittedly unscientific and subject to hacking. In the end, they are really just a way to engage the reader and take a quick temperature reading of your audience. Nothing more and nothing less. The cyber equivalent of asking the room for a show of hands on a certain question.

So there was our after-debate poll. The numbers grew … 7,000-plus votes after a couple of hours … and Ron Paul was at 75%.

Now Paul is a fine gentleman with some substantial backing and, by the way, was a dynamic presence throughout the debate , but I haven’t seen him pull those kind of numbers in any “legit” poll. Our poll was either hacked or the target of a campaign. So we took the poll down.

The next day, our email basket was flooded with Ron Paul support messages. And the computer logs showed the poll had been hit with traffic from Ron Paul chat sites. I learned other Internet polls that night had been hit in similar fashion. Congratulations. You folks are obviously well-organized and feel strongly about your candidate and I can’t help but admire that.

But you also ruined the purpose of the poll. It was no longer an honest “show of hands” — it suddenly was a platform for beating the Ron Paul drum. That certainly wasn’t our intention and certainly doesn’t serve our readers … at least those who aren’t already in the Ron Paul camp.

Some of you Ron Paul fans take issue with my decision to take the poll down. Fine. When a well-organized and committed “few” can throw the results of a system meant to reflect the sentiments of “the many,” I get a little worried. I’d take it down again.

Sincerely,

Allen Wastler
Managing Editor, CNBC.com
