Conservatives and Libertarians United Against Ron Paul

Watching what Ron Paul does. Not what he says.

About

Many people want you to think that Texas Congressman Ron Paul is the only true conservative in the 2008 Republican primary race for the White House. However, Ron Paul is anything but a conservative. He is a tin-foil hat wearing nut job (the rights Dennis Kucinich). Not only is he a strong defeatist on the war on terrorism, Paul was in the very small minority of people in the House of Representatives to vote against the USA PATRIOT Act. He even voted against the Amber Alert, which is a notification to the general public, by various media outlets in the United StatesRep. Ron Paul with his good friend Bill Maher, when police confirmed that a child has been abducted. Ron Paul is not a conservative and not a true Republican.

So you’ve created an entire blog to discredit Ron Paul? You have a very limited understanding of these issues you speak of above. If Dr. Paul votes against legislation, it’s because that particular legislation is not authorized by the US Constitution.

  3. I applaud your efforts. The Blog looks great. And it is sorely needed.

However, I would add that you should consider calling it, “Conservatives and Libertarians United Against Ron Paul.”

Ron Paul is proving to be an extreme embarrassment to many of us Proud Libertarians. He’s making our movement out to be crackpot, surrender to our enemies, extremists.

Conservatives, please be aware that not all of us Libertarians agree with Ron Paul. Many of us reject his views strenuously.

He does not represent our movement.

This site is rather pathetic. you discuss his opposition to many things that are actually holding back the rights of all Americans, and then you refer to these opinions with the slanted diction you find on Fox News. “Cut and run”

Get your lives together and think about what he’s been voting for.

He is PRO-LIFE….let’s think here. If someone is pro-life that means they respect all life in any situation, yet all the psycho politicians who say they are “pro-life” are pro-war….last time I checked, war means death, abortion means death, so how can you support one form of death over another?…Although he is pro-life he does not want to take the choice away from women, therefore we wouldn’t make it a national law.

you arguments are horrible and not backed up properly, therefore this website is complete crap.

I find it fascinating that attempts to discredit Paul are all based on LIES! Paul’s honesty, humility, and commitment to human liberty is creating panic amongst those who would enslave us.

So just why are you chihuahuas chewing on Ron Paul’s ankles?

    And who are you?

Please tell us who to support. If Ron Paul is such a poor choice and doing so poorly in the polls as your site seems to suggest, why not tell us who you (whoever you are) are voting for in the primaries?

This is awesome-just the fact that this website exists shows how scared the gov’t is of Paul winning-Its a Joke to think that libertarians en masse aren’t behind Paul-Keep trying media–see you soon

You wouldn’t know a real conservative if one broke his foot off in your ass. Conservatism is about smaller government, lower taxes, maintaining national sovereignty, and Constitutional values. What you are is a neocon, plain and simple. Neocons are about warmongering, speaking about lower taxes with a forked tongue while providing tax cuts for the rich, building up the military industrial complex, bully and intimidating the world, lying, slandering, and pulling out all the dirty tricks in the book.

    Your blog sucks.

Great stuff… so who do I support now?

I am very glad he voted against the Patriot Act. It’s just another ironically titled piece of authoritarian legislation that harms out nation.

Ron Paul vs. The Philosophically Bankrupt

After reading the name-calling and other non sequiturs from the anti-Ron Paul crowd, I am of the view that their hostility arises less from his opposition to war, or the direction American foreign policy has taken for decades, or any of the other specific programs he has criticized. What troubles them the most is that Paul has a philosophically-principled integrity in what he advocates and that, to challenge him, one must be prepared to deal with him at that higher level.

But modern political discourse long ago gave up on principles, in favor of the pursuit of power as a sufficient end. There is an intellectual bankruptcy exhibited by writers and speakers on the political “left,” “right,” or “middle.” Competing ideas and values that once engaged the minds of thoughtful men and women have given way to little more than pronouncements on behalf of narrowly-defined political programs; the validity of a proposition no longer depends upon reasoned analysis, but upon the outcome of public opinion polls.

Ron Paul’s campaign interjects an energized, principled inquiry into the political realm, an undertaking for which men and women with no philosophic center or rigorous minds find themselves woefully ill-prepared.

Ron Paul was running for Congress as a Republican back when Giuliani was a McGovern Democrat. Paul is part of a tradition within the GOP that stretches back to the early 20th century. When the Democrat President Woodrow Wilson forced the Federal Reserve and the Income Tax on us and took us to war in Europe, it was Republicans like Charles Lindbergh Sr. and William E. Borah who protested. Later Republicans like Cong. Howard Buffet and Sen. Robert Taft took up the fight for sound money, lower taxes and non-intervention.
Ron Paul was one of only six Republican congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan – back in 1976, when Reagan was considered “unelectable” – and Giuliani was still a Democrat!

  16. I certainly agree with you, Dave. Sites like this are not doing much good.

It’s nice to know the other side has nothing to get Dr. Paul with. However, it’s up to us now to dispel the lies. These kinds of things are really beginning to circulate and if we hope to be successful we need to get to the people before the slandering does.

    Go Ron Paul!

Defeatist on terrorism? No, he’s just tired of using U.S. tax money to fund Al Qaeda recruit depots.
Against The “Patriot” Act? Yes; Were you aware that it voids our Bill Of Rights?
Amber Alert? The GOP has never offered a clean Amber Alert Bill. He was voting against the inappropriate riders.
I think if you studied as much as you complained, you would get a glimpse of what it’s like to be a libertarian.
    Good luck with that.

    Eric, you a libertarian???

Not even by our “low” european standards you’re a libertarian but more of bitter old bankrupt politics wanabee.

But as a libertarian I recognize your existence and you actually gave me quite a few interesting things to read about Ron Paul’s past. Wow he was quite aggressive in those days.

BTW did you know we here in Europe invited Ron Paul for a speech some time ago???

There’s one thing you have to realize Eric. This is not about Ron Paul. Ron Paul is not a perfect being and never will be but the message is close to something which we need to ignite the engine of changes in the current situation in the shallow world of world’s politics. You have to understand that this is not about a vision of a perfect world because we’re living in a world that is almost perfect. The goal is just to stabilize things. That’s all.

But I see you’ve already lost your head to your own personal misery. I hope one day you’ll be back on the track working towards a more balanced world. That’s what WE politicians should do. Or not???
