I frankly don't care what Ron Paul voted for or didn't vote for. I know what his message has been. Ron is 72 years old and the concept that he has put before the public will have a life of it's own long after Ron Paul is worm food.

I am a Ron Paul supporter and a main stream business owner in financial services. I learned from my grand father (born in the late 1800s) about the history of our country and how the country changed from a gold standard to the current situation with reserve notes. I was a teenager in the 1970 during Arab oil embargo. I watch the global financial markets each day and while people are arguing over who said what, the global financial markets are unwinding with increased instability.

It won't be long (not next week or next month but it's on the way)and you won't care who said what because your first priority is going to be where you will live and where your next meal is coming from.

We are going to find out if Ron Paul is full of #### or if he is not.

Whether he is or is not doesn't matter to me because I know that you or I can't go out and spend money from our checking account without consequences; we can go get a credit card and when we max it out, we get hit with 34% default interest rates and our account gets closed.

At some point, the foreign lenders (our credit card lenders) are going to tell us we have reached our credit limit.

Currently, 100% of all taxes collected go toward paying only the interest on the debt. That is the same as a home mortgage that is interest only where the balance is never paid down. That is OK as long as the home continues to appreciate, but as we see in California and Florida, our assumptions can often fail to remain reality.

Look at the California real estate market, and simply rename it the US and global economic situation. It is "highly probable" that a similar scenario is what we all have to look forward to.

If your own personal finances were upside down, creditors called you on the phone, your lights were getting cut off and your car being towed in the middle of the night, then what would YOU do on a personal level to turn your life around?

Probably start all over; declare bankruptcy. But you would most certainly have to realign your finances to where you earned more than you spent; if you were smart and learned ANYTHING at all, you would make a sincere effort to not make the same mistake again.

I worked with people who grew up and were in their mid 20's during the great depression of the 1930s and they had a a rabid disdain for debt and worked to save for the future. It was these pre-baby boomers who worked and saved the money to build this country up. They fattened up the cow and the next generation came along to suck off the tit of that cow and now threaten to slaughter her for her meat.

What is happening in our country today is not unusual and is quite predictable.

Each society rises up with visionaries, builders come and create the infrastructure, then the manager, then the bureaucrat who promises the public mana from heaven for the vote, then the country is unable to sustain itself and collapses only to begin the birthing process again. There are many instances of this in the history books and YOU happen to simply be living in that phase of history. And one day, you and I will be worm food just like Ron Paul and the world will just keep on truckin'.

In the mean time, while I'm still walking up-right, breathing air and eatin' carrots, I'm about to be a new precinct chair and I am going to work to help educate the people in my local precinct and to help raise their awareness of the need for fiscal responsibility. I am going to work to be one of those thousands of people who work to support a country that respects the laws of sound economics, respect for our foreign and domestic responsibilities and our personal freedoms and liberties. I want to work hand in hand with others to find a peaceful way to address the issues before someone or a group of someones decides that violence is the answer.

I'm a no-name, nobody, but I'm going to do my best to make my little corner of the United States a little bit better. Whether you agree with me or not, I hope you also will do the same for OUR country. For my brothers and sisters, kids and grand kids and YOURS to.

Respectfully

This rhetoric wouldn't even fly at a high school debate.

Paultards? Really?

I thought Ron Paul had no chance, but seeing how frightened these people are, he must be a threat.

Those making this attack seem to imply that this stance with being tough on spending was just manufactured by Ron Paul to create mere talking points, but for some reason these critics do not want to go a step further and imply Ron Paul is really not for abolishing the IRS and limiting the government. So this is simply an attack on his consistency...

During the civil rights era, many militant blacks were upset at other blacks trying to work within the system to influence change. To the militants, you cannot work with what you are trying to overthrow. And in a sense that is true for those that believe in radical change. But the fact is that for those working within the system, they must compromise and promote gradual change of direction. This is what Ron Paul has been doing for the past 30 years.

We cannot ignore that presently we DO have the IRS, and we DO pay income tax. So the responsibility of the representative must deal with this reality. As long as we know Ron Paul is committed to the end goal of limiting government spending, then attacks like this are completely worthless. Going back to my example, the implications of those that make these accusations suggests they could believe it was possible for an uncompromising black millitant to promote change within the White-American system. Its not going to happen, so its ignorant to think Ron Paul is inconsistent because he works with the system we have. Ignorant.

Hmm, it is a shame to know that he requested these earmarks, but it isn't enough to make me change my vote.

I would have liked it if he didn't request some of these (not all) but it isn't the worst thing a congressman could do, and it certainly isn't comparable to anything as bad as graft.

He isn't a saint, but he certainly isn't scum like many of the other candidates we have running for president.

"Ryan Says:

He voted against all of those budgets. I mean, this is the best you can do? There is a ridiculous amount of dirt on every other candidate. WAY more than this. Yet you attack Ron Paul. Likely because you are in idiotic neo-con. I bet you will vote for Rudy because he keeps it simple and keeps you from having to think."

He voted against them?

Obviously you havn't read up on his voting record then.

So EVERYONE who dares to shed light on the lies spewed by the demi-god ron paul is a Neo-Con?

ROFLMAO!!!

I bet you paultards have the word "SUCKER" written across your foreheads since you swallow that BS he spoon feeds you hook, line, and sinker.

BTW, I hate Rudy so nice try you RINO POS.

Why did your heerow lock away those newsletters he wrote between '85 and '97? Why is he trying to hide his views?

Another fact about your false idol:

He has FAILED in his oath of office pertaining to Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution since he has voted against every military budget since he was elected again in 1997.

All 25 of those items that paul requested should have been paid by the state or through local fundraising efforts.

It is not the responsibility of a tax payer in Ohio to pay for some renovation of some run down and long since out of business movie theater in Bumfuk Texas.

Some of the pork projects Paul voted to keep include:
$231,000 for the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association’s Urban Center
$129,000 for the “perfect Christmas tree project
$300,000 for the On Location Entertainment Industry Craft Technician Training Project in California
$150,000 for the South Carolina Aquarium
$500,000 for the National Mule and Packers Museum in California.

He also voted for $232 million for federally mandated election reforms.

He has requested 30 million for the Interstate 69 project AKA Trans Texas Corridor AKA NAFTA Superhighway.

This all you can find on him?

He ends up voting against the bills but if they pass atleast his district has something.

THERE ARE MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES THAN THIS. So why don't you try focusing on them?
